MOCK & MIMIC collection
A collection of interior items inspired by the popular culture from my homeland,Japan.There is a cultural tradition in Japan to create crooked and deformed illustration of reality by mocking and mimicking forms mixed with fantasy. Manga, animated figures, personified animals might be the representative examples.
At Stockholm furniture fair 2009, I introducde three interpretations of the way to re-create objects by imitating existing objects.
